Q: I don't have a credit card, is there another way I can pay for my online purchases?
A: Yes, we can accept Money Order payments if you are US/Canada based. Please make the MO payable to:

SHIPPING
Q: Do you ship to Europe and how much will it cost in Euro?
A: Yes. We ship to Europe, Asia, Australia, Middle East, and any place in the world where the postal service or courier services deliver. The shipping cost is calculated based on the current rates provided by these services. Your billing will be automatically converted to Euro by your credit card bank (or the currency of the country where it is based). They will also be the one to determine the exchange rate.
Q: Do you ship to military address?
A: Yes but this is sometimes subjected to security scans which can cause long delays. If you can give an alternative address of your location, delivery would be faster.
Q: I live in California and have ordered from other webstores in the US. I noticed that KabayanCentral's shipping rates are higher? Why is this so?
A: All items in our webstore originate in the Philippines and are shipped from Manila.
Q: How long does the shipping take?
A: It varies, of course, depending on the delivery location. Typically, US-bound postal air mail takes anywhere from two to three weeks to reach its destination. Express courier services take about 3 to 5 days.
BILLING
Q: When do I get charged for my order?
A: We charge your card only AFTER sending out your parcel and NOT when you place it online.
Q: Why is it that after placing my order the amount already showed up in my online bank statement?
A: Your credit card bank only allocates the order amount as a temporary transaction in preparation for our charging you. This is to make sure that when we charge you, you wont go over your credit limit and be declined.
Q: What will appear on my credit card?
A: KABAYANCENTRAL.COM will appear as the merchant name in your credit card statement. Your credit card statement will show the NET total charge for all shipped merchandise in your order. The purchase price shall include cost of goods and shipping charges.
TAX/DUTY
Q: Will I be paying a tax for the parcel?
A: The tax/duty assessment is entirely up to your host country and will be your responsibility if any is applied. What we will take care of are Philippine-side tax/duty and licenses. IMPORTANT: Refund is not allowed for parcels that were not delivered due to the refusal of the recipient to pay the applied tax/duty.
ORDERING CONCERNS
Q: My shopping cart remains empty.
A: If you CANT put ANY item at all in your cart, please make sure that your browser's security setting allows you to accept cookies. Otherwise, your cart will always be empty. Do the same with your firewall setting if you are using one.
Q: I just made an online order but I haven't received any confirmation from you. Does this mean you didn't get my order?
A: Email confirmation of online orders is personally done by the webmaster. If you do NOT receive a confirmation email in 3 days time, we probably didnt get your online order. Please place a new one and dont worry because you wont be charged twice since we only charge you AFTER sending out your order. But if you place your order Friday night (Manila time), you'll get an email Monday morning already. KabayanCentral.com staff gets the weekends off.:-) Anorther possibility is that your email server (like yahoo and hotmail) may be filtering our confirmation email as spam. Check your bulk mail or spam folder too for our confirmation.
Q: How can I delete an item from my cart?
A: Simply type '0' in the QUALITY field and click the MODIFY QUANTITY button at the bottom of the cart. The cart will be refreshed and the item should not appear anymore.
Q: Can I order an item not listed in your webstore?
A: Yes. As long as it is available in the country, we can get this for you. All you have to do is email our webmaster regarding your request. This do NOT apply to perishable items.
Q: If I order in large quantities, do I get a discount?
A: Yes. Just email our webmaster and we will determine how much discount can be offered.
Q: The product I ordered is defective. Can I get a refund or a replacement?
A: Yes but please email us first before you return the product. Also, we need to receive the item pre-paid postage before we can send you the replacement item or refund the purchase price to your credit card.
Q: Are your items legitimate?
A: Yes. KabayanCentral is a strong advocate of intellectual property rights.
All our music and video products and all other items are sourced from legitimate channels.
Q: Are VCDs the same as DVDs?
A: No. VCD is a different format from DVD although both looked the same. VCDs are lower in quality hence the cheaper price. There are also two VCD discs per full length movie compared to one DVD disc only.
Q: Do your VCDs work with US DVD players?
A: Most of the time. However, there are some US VCD players which can not play Philippine VCDs. Some US DVD players cant play Philippine VCDs too. Please consult your video player's manual.
Q: Do your DVDs work with US DVD players?
A: Unless specified, KabayanCentral DVDs are rated multi-region (NTSC) and can be played in any NTSC DVD player. But Region 3 coded DVDs can only be played in a multi-region DVD player or a Region 3 DVD player.
